 \nIn celebration of World Water Day\, the Royal Government of Bhutan launc
 hed the Nationwide River Cleaning Initiative to promote the conservation a
 nd restoration of river ecosystems across the country.\nAs part of this na
 tional campaign\, Punakha Dzongkhag conducted a large-scale river cleaning
  program focusing on the Phochhu and Mochhu rivers\, which hold both cultu
 ral and ecological importance.\n\n\n\nCleaning Locations:\n\n\n 	\nAlong t
 he Mochhu River\, starting near Goenshari Primary School\n\n 	\nAlong the 
 Phochhu River\, starting from Wolathang Primary School\n\n 	\nEfforts exte
 nded downstream to the Punakha–Wangduephodrang border\n\n\n\n\nKey Outco
 mes:\n\n\n 	\nWaste Collected: Over 8.5 metric tons of solid waste\n\n 	\n

 proved the physical environment but also fostered community spirit and env
 ironmental awareness. It highlighted the collective responsibility to prot
 ect Bhutan’s rivers and natural resources for future generations.\n\n\n
